Gary
Martini is founder and president of Martini & Associates, an
Organization Effectiveness consulting firm that specializes in helping its
clients improve their compositeness through various interventions such
as:
Since founding the company in 1983, Gary has designed and facilitated over 750 interventions for more than 7000 participants in over 30 states and 11 countries outside of the USA. Some examples are: Mobil Oil of Japan . One week workshop for the 15 leaders of the Distribution Logistics Division of Mobil Oil of Japan. Objectives included: Learning To Let Go (paradigm busting), Creative Problems Solving (Story Boarding) and Team Building. On a 5 pt. scale, Overall Satisfaction = 5, and Facilitator Effectiveness = 5. MCC Behavioral Health Care , a $200 million division of CIGNA Health Care. Martini & Associates was contracted for 50% time over 18 months. Assisted the new president in successfully shifting the corporate culture to one that became values based & vision led. General Electric Business Information Center (GEBIC), a telecommunications center established to provide business to business access to GE. Martini & Associates served as the Organization Effectiveness Consultant to GEBIC for two years. Their successful evolution to fully self directed teams and how they achieved a cost-based productivity improvement of 106% is the subject of the book entitled, "Letting Go" written by James Burnside and published by High Peaks Press. Gary graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.A. in Sociology and holds a M.S. degree in Organization Development & Analysis from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland. Before establishing Martini & Associates, Gary held numerous Human Resources positions over a ten year period with three GE businesses: GE Jet Engines in Cincinnati, GE Lighting in Cleveland, and GE Appliances in Louisville. Prior to GE, Gary spent six years in the U.S. Army as a personnel officer. From August 1997 through October 2000, Gary suspended his private practice to serve as the Vice President of Human Resources for the National Computer Systems Corporation (NASDAQ:NLCS). With an organization of 80+ H.R. professionals and an annual budget of $6 million, Martini helped grow NCS's revenues from $300 million to almost $800 million. Gary and his wife Holly live on Weaver Lake outside of Minneapolis.
