The Company Martini and Associates was founded in 1983 by Gary Martini as a full service Organization Development (OD) / Organization Effectiveness (OE) company. For over 25 years, Martini has specialized in Macro Change Efforts, Systems and Process Enhancements, Inter-Organization Effectiveness, Intra-Organization Effectiveness and Leadership Coaching. Gary Martini feels blessed to have consulted on more than 750 projects in hundreds of organizations in over 30 states and 11 countries outside of the USA. Among the larger corporate clients are GE, Mobil, Owens Corning, Motorola, Capital Holding Corporation, University of Minnesota and Medtronic.
Recently, Martini has been focusing much
more energy on Consulting to Changing Catholic Communities.

St. Alphonsos, Mexico The Founder Gary Martini holds a B.A. in Sociology / Psychology from the University of Minnesota and a M.S. in Organization Development from Case Western Reserve University. Martini spent 6 years in the US Army as a Personnel Officer and 10 years with General Electric in various Human Resources management positions. Although a cradle Catholic, Gary reports he has experienced a powerful re-conversion of his faith over the last few years. He credits Cursillo, a visit to Medjugorje, his return to the sacraments and Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration for his Metanoia (change of heart). Married in 1970 to Holly, his high school sweetheart, they have 3 children and 4 grand children. Together they enjoy family events, world travel and their “Cliff House” cabin on Lake Superior. They have visited six Marian apparition sites.
The Logo The five blue bands of the logo represent the Five Levels of Consulting services offered by Martini & Associates. Each row is essentially a subset of the row above it. Thus, the five bands together represent one organization / entity. Reading the logo from left to right, one notices the gradual changes in the shape of the symbols from rectangle to circle. This gradation represents the purposeful evolution / transformation of individuals and organizations – thus symbolizing the choiceful move from “where you have been” to “where you want to be”….from the Current State to the Desired State. Also, the gradual lightening of the blue color indicates the reduction of dependency the client has upon Martini & Associates. It is our job to work ourselves out of the job. Lastly, these five levels of organization effectiveness consulting provide a visual and simple, yet potent definition of Organization Development (OD/OE).
Definition of Organization Development (OD) “Organization Development is a planned, system-wide change effort using behavioral science and humanistic values, principles and practices to achieve greater organization performance and effectiveness.” (Ralphs, 1996). Organization Development Consulting is based upon tested behavioral sciences processes designed to equip your organization, its leaders and members with various tools and techniques for continuously improving their own effectiveness. The five levels of organization effectiveness are interrelated and interdependent. |
